Minnesota Schoolgirls Lacrosse Association MSLax

We are the governing body for girls lacrosse in Minnesota currently serving girls 8U to 18U age levels. Our mission is to promote the growth of girls lacrosse in Minnesota and surrounding areas. We work to foster a positive environment to teach skills to players and coaches.

SPRING SEASON

  • Team registration open date:  Weds, Jan 1, 2020
  • Team registration close for spring league:  Fri, 3/6/20
  • Coaches training on Sun. 3/15/20 - 9am-11:30am, location Benilde-St. Margaret's School
  • Game scheduling on Sun, 3/15/20 - 11:30am-1:30pm, location Benilde-St. Margaret's School
  • CEP Level I & Level II coaches clinics :  see dates to the right on Home page.
  • PCA clinics:  TBD
  • Team rosters due:  Mon, 4/6/20
  • Season start date:  Thurs, 4/9/20
  • Spring Tourney:  Sat-Sun, May 30-31, 2020 , location Health East Sports Complex (Woodbury)

SUMMER SEASON

  • Team registration open date:  Weds, Jan 1, 2020
  • Team registration close for summer league:  Fri, 5/8/20 
  • Summer game scheduling meeting on Sun, 5/17/20, location TBD

GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE WINTER TRAINING AND CLINICS

SESSION #2 (FEB-MAR)

  • Grades:  8-12th 
  • Coaches:  Experienced HS coaches & Guest college coaches 
  • League Focus:  Game fundamentals, stick skills, lots of ball touches, small group  drills and small side games; GOALIE training also provided
  • Location:  Alchemy Dome, 2465 W Wayzata Blvd, Long Lake, Minnesota 55356
  • Dates:  Sundays, Feb 2, 9,   23, March 1, 8, 15
  • Times: 3pm-5pm
  • Participant Cost:  $225

*Register for both winter sessions together and save $100 off the combined fee (20%) plus get a free registration to the additional clinic on December 8th being coached by professional lacrosse and Team USA players Marie McCool and Kylie Ohlmiller.

Registration-Spring/Summer 2020

New this year, payment is required on-line with either with a credit card of  checking account information.  Also  if you are not the community program administrator, you will need this information to register teams.

Communities have the opportunity to register for spring or summer only or special priced combination spring/summer season.  You can choose to add spring and summer tournament participation as well.  Lastly, you will be able to register all community teams with one invoice.

USL CEP Level 1 & 2 Coaches Clinics in March

 

MSLax is happy to offer 4 CEP coaches clinics to become USL-certified!  MSLax requires all coaches to complete the online portions of the coaches requirements listed on US Lacrosse website located here as well as completing the in-person portion within 1-2 years of starting up the coaches certification process.  We require at least 1 coach/team completely certified (including the in-person portion of the clinic) .  Details below:

  • LEVEL 1:  Sat, March 7 @10AM at Concordia-St. Paul, Ganglehoff Center (3 hours)
  • LEVEL 1:  Sat, March 21 @9am at Rochester, RCTC Dome (3 hours)
  • LEVEL 1:  Sat, June 6 or 13, location TBD (3 hours)
  • LEVEL 2:  Sun, March 8 @8AM at Concordia-St. Paul, Ganglehoff Center (4 hours)
