Team Registration for 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 18U is open!
You can sign up at www.mslax.net. Last chance to register your team for the spring season is March 3.
Summer season registration ends April 28.
Registration includes a discount for teams playing both spring & summer play if you register for both at the same time! Online payment is required when registering your team(s). You can either enter a debit/credit card or enter checking account information. If you are not the community treasurer registering the team(s), please contact your treasurer to obtain routing and account numbers if paying by e-check.
8U level will be split into the spring and summer leagues this year similar to other age levels. 8U teams will also play games during the Spring and Summer State Tournaments.
10U, 12U and 14U will have A and B divisions
Please note, splitting of 10U, 12U, and 14U teams in the spring league will be dependent upon the number of teams that sign up, e.g., if too few of teams, we’ll combine teams into 1 league to play spring league. Any questions on this, please contact Jessica Jurovich at email@example.com.
Details regarding the fees for each level can be found at team fees.
Scheduling/Coaches Meetings 2024
MSLax will return to in-person scheduling meetings in conjunction with our coaches meetings, similar to what we had pre-COVID. We ask that each association sends a representative to the meeting to schedule their games. The spring season meeting will be held on March 10th and the summer season meeting will be held on May 5th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Benilde-St. Margaret's.
We will also be covering new rule changes, suggested drills, and updated policies & procedures for the 2024 season during these meetings.
Required Coach Certification
MSLax requires that all coaches become USA Lacrosse Bronze level certified coaches. This is included in the USA Lacrosse coaches membership for no additional fee and will replace the previous USA Lacrosse CEP Level I requirement.
1. Apply for an annual USA Lacrosse coach membership here. Players who coach can hold a dual membership for playing and coaching.
2. Complete the USA Lacrosse background check.
3. Complete the online USA Lacrosse Abuse Prevention, Cardiac Care, Concussion, and Cultural Competency courses.
4. Pass the USA Lacrosse Annual Rules Test.
Once coaches complete these components, they are officially certified and will have more standardized knowledge on the field to teach MSLax youth lacrosse players how to play safely and consistently. More information on certification can be found on the USA Lacrosse Coaches Certification website.
