Kids don’t have many organized opportunities to stay active and engaged as we continue to weather this pandemic and there are very few, if any local live/in-person lacrosse options available.  As the State organization supporting girls lacrosse, we would like to fill this short term void and offer some online lacrosse programming designed for HS level players but open to all girls in MN.

A series of early winter/holiday sessions focused on lacrosse skill development, conditioning and fun offered online but “live”.  We know from our experience that “live” online sessions are better attended than recorded ones.  There are 2-one hour sessions planned each week.  One focused on lacrosse development coached by Kylie Ohmiller, professional player and a member of Team USA, and a friend of MN girls lacrosse.  The other focused on general fitness and conditioning coached by Rachel Busch, a HS varsity track and swim coach that has been working with girls lacrosse and MSLax on running/speed/conditioning for the past several seasons.

Lacrosse Sessions – Focused on Skill Development, Drills that can be Done Individually at Home

  • Coached by Kylie Ohlmiller, pro player, Team USA
  • 45 minutes focused on skill development and drills
  • 15 minutes of chalk talk, Q & A to engage girls and coaches
  • Kylie has been doing clinics in MN for the past few years and has built a strong player following

Conditioning Sessions – Focused on General Fitness, Conditioning and Nutrition

  • Coached by Rachel Busch – Buffalo, MN HS Teacher, Varsity Track and Swim Coach
  • Rachel has coached with MSLax 18U and Buffalo Girls HS lacrosse program the past few seasons
  • Weekly online sessions include conditioning, yoga, fun and workout routines to do at home
  • Sessions will include Q & A to engage girls and ensure understanding of messages and strategy

Registration Details

  • Cost is Free
  • All sessions held on MSLax Zoom account
  • All sessions will be recorded and posted within a few hours
  • Last 15 minutes of Kylie session (Chalk Talk/Q & A) will not be recorded so it is for attendees (to encourage girls to have a reason to show up in person vs. watching later)
  • MSLax sponsored - no charge for players, but sign up is required to get Zoom link
  • Registration is not capped, but only the first 100 participants to join the zoom calls will be allowed into the session
